I would like to invite you to the Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival, Friday Oct 15 to Sunday Oct 17, at the Roundhouse, 181 Roundhouse Mews, Vancouver, BC.There will be a wall of my art there plus copies of my memoir. Sadly because of social distancing, I will not be in attendance the whole time but may drop by for a short while. There will also be an online gallery Oct 27 to Dec 1 with art available from the artists. We are also having a Touring Outsider Arts Festival show which will be exhibited around the Lower Mainland into 2022.
10th Annual Midsummer Art's Dream Juried Exhibition until Dec 10 2021
2021 Housing Central Virtual Art Exhibition - Oct 25 - Dec 31 The Housing Central Virtual Art Exhibition will be hosted on the 2021 Housing Central Conference website from Oct 25 to Dec 31, 2021. My participation will include images of my house portraits as examples of the changing landscape of Vancouver as older homes are being demolished and replaced by condominiums, high-rises and more modern homes. This reflects the idea of the disappearing city as Vancouver neighbourhoods and communities change with development. I want to capture some of these older homes as part of our history and fabric of our city and region. This conference is presented by the BCNPHA, the BC Non-Profit Housing Association. Federation Gallery and other places! Through the Federation of Canadian Artists I have several pieces for sale with the Retro Online Exhibition Oct 1-31 and NOW Exhibition Nov 15-28 in the gallery. Or search under Sandra Yuen at Federation Gallery in their inventory. Also have some pieces viewable at Gallea, another online Canadian gallery, and new work on my website. Please take a gander if you are interested. Le Galeriste and Fine Art America also carry my art merchandise.
I exhibited a 4 ft mural at the Vancouver Mural Festival 2021. Also our group Murals without Walls has four artists in this exhibition and you may read about us in the Tyee! We together with Wendy Oberlander and Kickstart Disability Arts and Culture were very fortunate to be included in the festival.
