Art is life
Updated: Jan 7
Recently, I had my second solo show opening of this year. At the reception, I enjoyed meeting new people and sharing my art and story. A guest said, "I really see optimism in your work." I replied, "Thanks! Then it is successful!"
Others commented positively on the work hanging on the walls and stored on my cellphone.
I came home very inspired and reworked a painting I had been creating at home. When you can see art through someone else's eyes, it's very insightful. I feel empowered to keep on the course I'm on. My florals are evolving quickly. Each work is different than the last, expanding, moving, growing.
Thanks to all my friends on Facebook and people who follow my work. One doesn't become an artist in isolation. Art isn't just about aesthetics, but connecting with others and experiencing the work.
